(HEO3) $55,971 to $63,464 per annum plus an employer contribution of 9.5% superannuation will apply.

The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University.  The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement.  Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

An exciting opportunity exists for a team oriented and client focused individual to join the client services team at the University of Adelaide’s state-of-the-art Companion Animal Health Centre at Roseworthy.

The Companion Animal Health Centre (CAHC) is a leading-edge primary practice and referral care veterinary clinic offering the latest technology, equipment and professional services to treat small companion animals of all species. The CAHC also provides a clinical training environment for veterinary students working under the close supervision of experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff.

The Client Services Officer is key to providing a range of operational and administrative support services in a diverse and dynamic clinical environment. 

As the first point of contact for clients you will provide friendly and professional service in person, over the phone and via e-mail, with responsibilities including scheduling appointments for multiple veterinarians, processing accounts and payments, maintaining client records and other associated administrative duties.

The role requires good computer skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver consistent, professional service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will require a good service focus, be enthusiastic, reliable, and possess excellent organisational skills and a willingness to work as part of a team to deliver successful outcomes for the practice and a quality client experience.

This is a full time position working 36.75 hours per week across various shifts between 8am and 7pm including some Saturday mornings.

Experience in a similar reception role is essential while experience in the veterinary industry would be an advantage.

To be successful you will need: 

  • Proven experience working in team environment with administration functions.
  • Experience effective customer service including money handling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience delivering a professional level of customer service.
  • Experience using common software programs (Microsoft office).
