The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University.  The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement.  Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

The Student Voice Australia Coordinator will provide coordination and support for the national Student Voice Australia network and its activities. The Student Voice Australia Coordinator will take an active role in the development of project plans and timelines, providing advice to network members and key stakeholders and writing reports.

Working under limited direction the Student Voice Australia Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of projects and tasks that will require high level organisational and time management skills as well as an ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.

Student Voice Australia (SVA) is a national network of institutions, staff and students, committed to facilitating authentic student engagement through partnership in institutional decision-making and governance for learning, teaching and the student experience. Following a successful pilot and further embedding of practices in 2020, SVA continues to develop and sustain a culture of student partnership in governance nationally.

To be successful you will need:

  • Knowledge of students as partners approaches and experience working in partnership with students in a higher education setting, ideally in governance or related areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a range of matters, in addition to having excellent administrative skills with demonstrated ability to work to strict deadlines and manage competing demands.
  • Experience managing a diverse group of key stakeholders or large or complex projects, in addition to managing multiple work streams, or working in large complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work.
  • Strong research, analytical and writing skills.
  • Previous higher education experience.
