(HEO5) $72,832 to $80,983 per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation may apply.

The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University.  The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement.  Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

Continuing position available based out our Roseworthy Campus.

Working under general direction, the Executive Assistant supports the Head of School (HOS) in the dual role of School leader and Dean of Roseworthy Campus, and is responsible for providing high-level administrative assistance to the Head of School and School office. The School office engages with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and good communication skills are critical. Sound judgment, good organisational skills and discretion are required, including an ability to prioritise activities based upon importance and impact to the School.

Duties include diary management, organising travel and meetings, tracking tasks, sourcing background information and drafting documentation, supporting committees, coordinating accreditation and managing functions and visitors. Provision of team back-up or project assistance on an ad-hoc basis and effective relationships with other staff within the School and Faculty is an essential aspect of the role.

To be successful you will need: 

  • Experience as a personal or executive assistant and/or experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite and generation of high quality, accurate documents.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to maintain a team approach under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience managing competing demands, prioritising critical tasks, working to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate outcomes with stakeholders by using problem solving skills and judgement.
